iPod Morning Work

I am constantly looking for ways to incorporate my 20 iPod Touchs in class!  As you know, many elementary teachers use those first few minutes of the school day as a time for students to get into a routine and do some independent seat work.  Whether it is Daily Oral Language, Word of the day, or morning math, it is usually the same thing each morning.  I have found some neat iPod apps that change daily and the students are making that their morning routine.  They go to the “Brain Pop” app and watch the short video clip and take a quiz, Check the weather and forecast at “WeatherBug”, and find something interesting from history using the clip, “This day in History.” They have five choices in applications and they choose any three every day.  So far the students love it and are rushing right in to get started with them. You can get the iPod Morning work worksheet, as well as the poster that I had enlarged and put on my wall.  Check them out here!
